International scientific conference

The upcoming scientific and practical conference is dedicated to the bright memory and scientific heritage of Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Economics, Professor Oleg V. Inshakov, who was Rector (1995–2014) and President (2014–2016) of Volgograd State University, Director of the Research Institute for Socio-Economic Development of the Region at VolSU (2016–2017), Honorary Professor at Jilin University, China (2009), Honorary Doctor of Southern Federal University (2014), Distinguished Professor at Volgograd State University (2017), Honorary Professor at Economic Research Institute of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2017). He was an outstanding Russian economist, author of the evolutionary-genetic theory of production factors and the “development core” model of economic systems, the theory of economic genetics and nanoeconomics, who revealed the framework for the dynamics of global economic structures based on meta-production function. Professor Oleg V. Inshakov was the originator of a multi-criteria classification of institutional economic mechanisms, a general model of the cyclic functioning of the economic mechanism, the theory of the global economic system, and expanded notion of the object and subject of economic theory based on the evolution of its level structure, which are widely represented in publications in Russia and abroad.

The conference will be the 18th event in the series of scientific and practical conferences initiated by Oleg V. Inshakov in 1998 and organized together with the Volzhsky branch of VolSU with a shared general scientific idea “The centuries-old search for the model of economic development of Russia”, with Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Oleg V. Inshakov as a keynote speaker.

Conference organizers believe that Oleg V. Inshakov’s scientific results (largely represented in the publications posted on the conference website) will again serve as a fruitful methodological and theoretical basis for the interdisciplinary research by economists, lawyers, historians, political scientists, sociologists and philosophers along the conference’s main lines, which are proposed for discussion at Volgograd State University in September 2019, and be used for working out recommendations on the systematic promotion of competitiveness of the Russian Federation under transition to a new technological mode and implementation of the digital development scenario.
